Kersnič Smithy

Alojz, Leopold, Anton and Leopold Kersnič jr. are the names of the three generations of Hrovača locksmiths and blacksmiths, who helped to shape the technical culture of the Ribnica Valley by introducing innovations over several decades, until the 1990s.

In 2006, the locksmith workshop or smithy, as it was still called, was passed under the auspices of the Škrabec Homestead and has been spreading its mission through new exhibition and gallery content since then.
